Company Audit and AssessmentAudit of Work Performance Companies from time to time require outside assistance to objectively assess their work conditions and surroundings for improvements in compliance and practice. ATP is prepared to provide a series of well-designed applications for assessing entire companies or single crews in order to increase safety and performance. Our experienced experts will work closely with managers and design useful assessment procedures and forms that can reveal areas of need and deficiencies and then also provide the guidelines to overcome problems and reach a higher level of performance, productivity and profit.
When dealing with auditing a tree care company or crews we suggest that the crews be identified and categorized in levels through our Audit of Work Performance (AWP). This would be accomplished with the crews on site by observation and also through personal interaction in order to ascertain the knowledge and ability of each worker.
The AWP is typically conducted by half hour observation of individual candidates in “real work on site” performing a series of standard practices such as tree climbing, rope handling, and tool interaction with various instruments such as hand and chainsaw, pruning and simple rigging procedures. Each worker will also be observed in group communication for work planning procedures and safety. Following the work of a thorough AWP the goal should be to score competency and categorize job levels and pay scale. The additional work of creating and outlining job descriptions is another important feature in setting up any kind of company to use skills effectively and discover skills and talents.
As a means of improving the entire company we are also prepared to provide an Audit of Company Performance (ACP). By applying this instrument a company can determine the present condition as it concerns safety, productivity and performance in all areas of work, employee satisfaction and government and legal compliance. ATP will help a company design and create the ingredients to enhance the potential for greater organizational and practical success. Sometimes it is a basic mission statement and establishment of goals and steps to reach the goals that can push a company to another level of safety and performance increasing worker satisfaction and profitability for all.
The cost of such AWP is usually based on the number of workers and the size and volume of the company to be observed.
ATP is prepared to interact with managers and gather the necessary information in order to design proper work practices and specifications for all aspects of performance. Following the design and production of materials and content ATP can provide suggestions for programs to use incentives to achieve compliance and successfully motivation at all levels.
